They’re too good for just ten reasons.
11. Made by candle specialists
Our candles are hand-crafted by passionate specialist of pure beeswax candles. The family-owned candle factory is located in the mountains of rural British Columbia (Canada) where they make each candle by hand and pay attention to the smallest of details in order to provide you with the finest of pure beeswax candles.
10. Preserving honeybees
Honey bees don’t just make honey. They pollinate more than 90 of the tastiest flowering crops we regularly enjoy including: apples, nuts, avocados, soybeans, asparagus, broccoli, celery, squash and cucumbers, citrus fruit, peaches, kiwi, cherries, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, cantaloupe and other melons. Approximately, one-third of the human diet comes from insect-pollinated plants, and the honey bee is responsible for 80 percent of that pollination. When you buy pure beeswax candles you support our efforts to save the honey bees and their important work on earth.
9. Direct, personal knowledge of every stage of making 100% pure beeswax candles.
Our supplier is well known in the industry for knowing the pure beeswax candle business inside out! This is transparent through Honey Candles’ fine attention to the smallest of details, creating candles that are both beautiful and good for the environment.
8. Handmade candles
Our supplier makes 100% pure beeswax candles to every individual order. They do everything by hand, one candle at a time, the old fashioned way. Expect to wait. Because they are located in mountainous British Columbia, where there is no parcel company that services that area (except for Canada Post), your candles might take a while to arrive. Be patient, it is so worth it.
7. You will be helping beekeepers
When you purchase 100% pure beeswax candles you support bee-keepers and their efforts. Honey Candles® also supports the bee-keeping industry with campaigns and donations.
6. Pure beeswax candles purify the air
Beeswax candles are natural negative ion generator, so when you burn a beeswax candle you actually purify the air in the room as opposed to contaminating it. The more negative ions you have in the air the better you will feel. Negative ions are nature’s air purifiers, cleaning the air of dust, mold, bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants. Beeswax candle is the only candle that actually produces negative ions (burning other candles produce positive ions), which help to remove pollution from the air.
5. Beeswax Candles burn 3 times longer without dripping or soothing!
When comparing between beeswax and paraffin candles you’ll see that beeswax burns up to 3 times longer and the beauty is that no additives are added to the beeswax to make it burn longer, unlike paraffin candles. Soy candles usually contain additives to prolong the burning time or use only a small white flame to manipulate the candle to burn longer. Our candles cost only pennies an hour to burn and provide a strong amber glow all in its natural state.
4. Beeswax candles are fantastic for people with asthma and allergies
People with asthma, allergies and sinus problems, have reported significant improvement in their symptoms, breathing better and sleeping better after burning the 100% pure beeswax candles in their bedrooms for three to four hours before bedtime. Pure beeswax candles have been so effective against asthma and allergies that even the American Lung Association has recommended and endorsed them.
3. Chemical free production
The production of soy, paraffin and palm involve chemical intervention to modify the raw material into a wax form and then into a candle. Beeswax is used in its native-raw state which does not involve bleaching or hydrogenation.
2. No synthetic fragrance
Our beeswax candles are used in their raw form, as they come from nature, without any synthetic fragrances added. All our candles have a natural honey aroma, and our essential infusions have only 100% pure essential oils, nothing chemical or synthetic added to it!
